If it comes to D.C., I'll definitely check it out.

I love going to the theater/ballet/symphony, but when I'm not expecting ballet, it's a bit odd. I wonder what would have happened if Billy Joel and Hal Prince had teamed up?Janet Kincaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01396294382570650966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14395763.post-1165531883565127062006-12-07T17:51:00.000-05:002006-12-07T17:51:00.000-05:00I was expecting some words in what I thought was t...I was expecting some words in what I thought was the musical version of 'Edward Scissorhands' and was surprised to find out at intermission that, lo and behold, it was actually a ballet! Surprise, no words at all, just raucous laughter from my friends who couldn't believe I was so daft! I would say, however, if the ballet version of 'Edward Scissorhands' does come to town it's well worth the price of a ticket and just to save you the humiliation I endured, don't expect there to be any singing...

I really used to like Billy Joel, especially his song, 'Only The Good Die Young'...it reminds me of a paramour, hmm.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14395763.post-1165498705825579682006-12-07T08:38:00.000-05:002006-12-07T08:38:00.000-05:00I would. If you want to enjoy the Billy Joel experience, break out your albums, mix your favorite drink, settle into your comfortable chair, and listen to him sing his music and create your own images. That's the beauty of his music, I think. It's full of technicolor images that are easily conjured up and enjoyed. I suppose Movin' Out is Tharp's conjuring, but it might have been better if she'd just kept her images to herself.

I haven't seen Mamma Mia, but I heard it was fabulous.Janet Kincaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01396294382570650966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14395763.post-1165496976112878072006-12-07T08:09:00.000-05:002006-12-07T08:09:00.000-05:00I was going to go see this...
