The aroma of redwood and river mingle
Splash of paddle swirl of water
Diffuse sunlight through the late morning fog
Fish lazing in the shallows
In front behind around
We float in serenity near the sea
Above the pelican dips and soars
As with the current we move along
The sandy shore the verdant fiery manzanita
Wild berries and bracken
Seaweed driftwood all combine
In heavenly silent oasis of peace
