Day 2: Trying to Think Positive

As all six of my loyal readers know, I've been unemployed for the last... well, too many months. Needless to say, it gets a bit depressing at times and today I'm in one of those funks again. But, not wanting to wallow, I'm trying to think positive.

In that vein, check out this interview between Michael J. Fox and Katie Couric. I think this is the rawest, most honest interview I've ever seen. I have to applaud Fox for putting himself out there. This interview is painful to watch, because he looks incredibly uncomfortable.

It's a long segment, but if you're willing to sit through it, he says some things that are really spot on.

Dear Ms. Funk,

Understand that we all love you and know that it's a hard time. Hopefully for you it will pass quickly!

Isn't 8 hour lunch or Simeon's peep stone a head hunter? Wouldn't hurt to shoot him your resume.

Also, Linkedin is a great place for jobs in most industries.

Janet, you only have a couple more hours until your day is up for a daily blog post! Everything OK?

SML: Me, too. What I need is a good head dusting. I can't afford it financially right now, but I've scheduled a session with my therapist because, psychologically, I can't afford not to.

Bishop Rick: I'll have to check that out. I'm getting no where on my own and have thought that hiring a headhunter would be a good idea. Thanks for the leads!

SML2: Yes, things are cool. Silly me. I thought I hit "Publish" when I wrote Day 2's post on IKEA, but I hit "Save As Draft." Doh.
