Day 23 (Part 3): Noch eine Karte

Received yet another postcard today from my friends in Switzerland. All I can say is, this one is so Germanic.

The translation is thus: Grandfather Bondi, "I'll do it every night, all night." Grandmother Bondi retorts, "Dream on...."

Here it is:

On the back, Di wrote, "No comment needed, eh?" and a big smiley face. Indeed, no comment.

Lends all new meaning to Grandpa's false teeth. Hmmm, have you re-thought that one since receiving this postcard?

JDK: No! I was robbed, dammit! Robbed! Okay, seriously, I still wish I had a pair of his teeth. I'm telling you, I would have had them mounted on a walnut base with a brass plaque for display in my curio cabinet.

Robbed, I was....

SML: Side story here. When Grandpa died, I told Mom I knew it wasn't my place to ask for anything, but if I could have one thing from Grandpa, I wanted his teeth. He and I had a running gag where his teeth were concerned. He'd carry them in his shirt pocket and I'd snatch 'em and pop 'em in my mouth and be a goof. He got a real kick out of that. Unfortunately, they buried him with his teeth.

As I said, ROBBED!!! I know if I'd asked him, he would have left them to me and gotten a huge kick out of it.
