My parents met in Wyoming when my father was a missionary in the Central States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He's from California. Mom was born and raised in Green River, Wyoming. They were married on June 14, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I told a colleague that today is my parents' 40th anniversary and she said, "Wow! In today's world, that's quite an accomplishment."

My parents had their 50th anniversary last year--and I had a hard time finding 50th/Golden anniversary paraphernalia. At least in California.
