Day 1: Gosh Darn, Frickin' Frackin' Blog Thing

It's December. We're back at Day 1 in the calendar. I don't know if I can sustain this another 30 days, but I'm going to give it a try. This time, though, I think I'm going to try to have a theme a week. Or maybe not.

I know. Let's be democratic about this. Go to the comments section and suggest what you'd like me to blog about. Keep it clean, please. All suggestions will be taken into consideration, but no guarantees, warranties, promises, premises, premonitions, prognosticians, or pledges will be made regarding the absolute use of said suggestions. All suggested subjects will be susceptible to my twist on the idea and will very likely end up not reflecting your opinions, feelings, or viewpoints. But, hey, that's the risk you take.

So, who wants to be first?

Apparently this month's theme should be you posting about whatever subject you want, but using awesomely allocated alliterations aplenty. Agreed?

I like your rants (IKEA) and raves (Pirate's Booty). Bring 'em on.

And if you run dry on current happenings, you can always write about the one-sided wrestling match between that tree limb and you car or what your weird friend did with your gas cap...

SML: Alack and alas, alliterations? Ack!

ME: What happens in Walnut Creek stays in Walnut Creek. Besides, I was the dumbass who locked the keys in the car with the engine and the A/C running. So, I think the gas cap story can stay between us...

As for the tree limb... well, dirty bastard tree! But, I've long since jettisoned the hapless, bad ju-ju Honda Civic. It was a great little car while I lived in California, but it and D.C. never got along. Sad really. I loved that little car... Sniff. Sigh. (And, it was paid for, which would really come in handy right now.)

Yeah! Why should Las Vegas have all the fun? Wild on Walnut Creek!

Wild on Walnut Creek! Oh, that made me laugh.

Yeah, let's talk about Walnut Creek. The northern California equivalent of L.A.'s Rodeo Drive, D.C. Georgetown Park, Virginia's Tyson's Corner, NYC's Madison Avenue, Chicago's Magnificient Mile...

Although, unlike all of those, Walnut Creek rolls up its rugs and closes shop at 9:00. With the exception of Barnes & Noble, which is open until 11:00, the entire town suddenly becomes a ghost town. At least, it did when I lived there.

It was a great town to live in, though. Quiet, safe, clean, nice amenities, a great farmer's market on Sundays... I wonder if I could even afford to live there now...
