Day 15 (Part 2): Doin' the Shuffle

I saw this on another blog somewhere the other day. The deal: Take your iPod, MP3, Zune, whatever and set it to shuffle/random, then write down the first ten songs it plays. Here are my ten:

1. The First Noel, Richard Hillert (Away in the Manger)
2. Rainy Days & Mondays, The Carpenters
3. The Flowers of Guatemala, R.E.M.
4. Moonlight Serenade, Glenn Miller Orchestra
5. The Long Way Home, Norah Jones
6. Summertime, Soy Hero
7. A House with No Curtains, Alan Jackson
8. Luck Be a Lady, Frank Sinatra
9. Love is Everything, k.d. lang
10. Ruby Adeline, Minnie Driver

I like the mix!, but I have to ask you... which version of Sinatra's Luck Be a Lady is it?

Is it the studio version, or the live version which was recorded at The Sands (in Vegas) in 1966?

Gunfighter: It's a studio version. Should I check out the live recording from the Sands?

As for your list, I recognize six of the ten artists whose songs you have. I'll have to check out the others. Good list.

I just had to do this for laughs.

1. Dil Ne Pukara - Shakti

3. Haunted - Evanescence - Fallen
4. Home of the Blues - Joaquin Phoenix - Walk the Line
5. Chuttum Vizhi - Kandukondain Kandukondain
6. Chup Chup Ke - Bunty aur Babli
7. Feels Like a Woman - Zucchero - French Kiss
8. I Believe - Tammy Cochran - We Were Soldiers

I must admit, rather an odd mix.

Kaidydid: Clazy, clazy list, Chaneen. You funny.

SML: No, don't be jealous. It's just one less piece of technology to burden you. (And, in truth, I just opened iTunes and did a shuffle there. Seems silly to turn on my iPod with the exact same list.)

Gunfighter: I'll check out Frank's live performance!

Swizzies: Love your list. And don't you just love the new Sarah McLachlan CD? I just got that one and it's fabulous, I think.
